India opener KL Rahul is struggling to find rhythm in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022. So far in three games, Rahul has managed just 22 runs, which is a cause of concern going forward. While Rahul has the backing of team management and head coach Rahul Dravid ahead of a crucial tie against Bangladesh today in Adelaide, his place in the XI is being questioned by former players.

Rahul, known for his attacking style of batting, has looked rather timid in his World Cup. Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar, speaking with India Today, felt that Rahul's issue was more of a mental one than technical.

On the eve of the Bangladesh match, the 30-year-old was seen talking with Virat Kohli during an indoor practice session, catching the eye of many.

"Every time I see Rahul not scoring runs, I get the impression, he does not actually know the kind of ability he has. He doesn't seem to believe in himself. He is a fabulous player and has loads of ability.

He's got to start saying 'I'm gonna go and knock the stuffing out of the ball'. He's got to have that kind of attitude. I want him to swagger. It will make a whole difference."

India play their final Super 12 match on Sunday against Zimbabwe.
