Saleem Malik was negative, selfish and treated me like servant: Wasim Akram

Wasim Akram and Saleem Malik shared for 14 years

Tales about players getting mistreated have been coming out of the Pakistan dressing room for the longest time. From the fistfight between Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif to Danish Kaneria's bullying done by Shahid Afridi -- the Men in Green's dugout has seen it all. 

Although, many aren't familiar about two of their biggest match-winners - Saleem Malik and Wasim Akram - not being on the talking terms for almost their entire careers. 

Akram, who is arguably the best left-arm pacer to have ever played the game, has come out and talked about the negative impact that Saleem had in his initial career. 

In his recently launched book - Sultan: A Memoir - the legendary seamer stated that Malik would force him to clean his clothes and boots.

"He would take advantage of my junior status. He was negative, selfish and treated me like a servant. He demanded I massage him; he ordered me to clean his clothes and boots."

The former pacer is also the only one who has made these bold claims. The renowned batter has also constantly been taking digs at Akram.

While talking about Wasim's rash nature, Malik said in a TV show, "When I would go to Wasim to hand him the ball, he would snatch it from me, because he wasn't talking to me. There was anger because I had become captain, whereas Wasim and Waqar wanted it.

During their illustrious careers, these two players shared the Pakistan dressing room for a long period of 14 years, where many such stories have come out in the media.
