The whole cricketing fraternity and fans across the globe were taken aback when the news about Rishabh Pant's accident was broken.

Since then, after every development, everyone is just wishing the young cricketer a speedy recovery. The latest one to the long list of well-wishers is Pant's close friend and his Under-19 team's captain, Ishan Kishan.

Kishan was stunned when he got the news of Pant from the spectators during Jharkhand's Ranji Trophy fixture against Services in Jamshedpur.

Prior to the first T20I against Sri Lanka at Wankhade, the keeper-batter talked about what was going in head when the heartbreaking news came to knowledge.

"In the beginning, I was not really sure. I though it must be a normal accident and people are making news out of it, but later I got know he's very serious and I was worried the whole time. I can't tell you how my heart rate was up throughout the Ranji game," Kishan mentioned.

"I wish him all the very best and want him to recover soon because he is a gun player and I know he's a fighter. On the ground also we have seen him fighting and he will be back very soon," he added.

BCCI, earlier in the day, announced that the 25-year-old is going to be shifted from Max Hospital , Dehradun to Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute.

Meanwhile, the Jharkhand batter gave the Hardik Pandya-led unit a flying start with his 37-run knock, while took one spectacular catch and was part of Dilshan Madushanka's run-out as well.

He will next be in action on Thursday when the Indian team take on Sri Lanka in the second T20I.
