The head coach of Quetta Gladiators, Moin Khan, has expressed his confidence in the leadership skills of skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed ahead of the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League.

Sarfaraz recently made a successful comeback to the Pakistan cricket team and proved his worth in the recently concluded two-match Test series against New Zealand, where he was named the man-of-the-series for his impressive performance, including three half-centuries and a century.

"I am quite confident that in this season he will do much better as the way he has created an impact and made a comeback in Pakistan’s team and won man-of-the-series award. Its reflection will also been seen in his captaincy during this season,” Moin told PCB Digital ahead of the tournament.

The Pakistan veteran also praised Sarfaraz for his exceptional performance both as an individual and as a leader of the team.

According to Moin, there was a time when Sarfaraz struggled and was frustrated due to being out of the Pakistan team, but he helped him to relax and bring out the best in him.

Moin mentioned that the experienced batter was highly productive in the first five PSL seasons, but faced some challenges in the last two seasons as he was out of the Pakistan team.

However, the Gladiators coach admired his ability to bounce back and praised him for playing the game with dignity and determination.

He also mentioned that Sarfaraz is a smart cricketer, which is why he has been successful in captaining the Under-19 team and the Quetta Gladiators, with a satisfactory overall winning average.
