India's latest addition to wicketkeeping armoury KS Bharat was stupendous behind the stumps in the first two Tests against Australia where he picked up few crucial catches and inflicted some stumpings.

The right-hander was also involved in a providing inputs during Decision Review System (DRS) calls which ultimately went in their favour.

During the recent press conference, the wicket-keeper who replaced Rishabh Pant reckoned that he was given license by skipper Rohit Sharma to provide his opinion related to the matter so that they could arrive on a decision as he holds the best spot on the field.

Further, he claimed to be quite confident because of the assurance provided to him by the captain of the side as he is allowed to trust his instincts during the game.

“Rohit bhai and myself had a word. ‘He said, you are the best judge, as you stay close to the batsman. So whatever you feel, just give your opinion. You, me and the bowler…the three of us will discuss, and we will take a call. He said, don’t worry about whether it is going to go our way or their way. Just back your instincts… whatever you feel, just put it across’. So the message is clear.”

Bharat will be seen keeping wickets for India in the third Test against Australia which begins on 1st March in Indore.
