India's wicket-keeping choice has been a hot-topic ever since the Border-Gavaskar series started in February.

With the unfortunate accident of Rishabh Pant, and his subsequent unavailability, India went with KS Bharat and Ishan Kishan as the two wicket-keeping options for the Australia series.

It was KS Bharat, who got the nod for the first three Tests, but his average outing with the bat has once ignited the hot debate. As a result, a large section of the fans have been calling for Ishan Kishan's Test debut.

So, let us dwell a bit more into who should be India's keeper for the Ahmedabad Test

KS Bharat

A doughty keeper behind the stumps, there is no better choice than KS Bharat for that wicket-keeper spot if you want someone on whom you can rely upon.

He gives Rohit Sharma a calming presence and his wicket-keeping abilities in sub-continent conditions is top-notch. KS Bharat has played just three matches for India, but question marks have already been raised on his position. Three Tests is a small number to justify his exclusion from the Indian side, but KS Bharat's batting hasn't truly lived up to the expectations.

He looked clueless in the Indore Test, but played a little cameo in the Delhi Test, when India needed 114 to win the match. He took on the Aussie spinners and scored a quick-fire 22-ball 23 to steer India home.

Logically KS Bharat should play in the fourth Test, but cricket is really a funny game.

Ishan Kishan

Some say if you want Rishabh Pant's like-to-like replacement, then go for Ishan Kishan. An aggressive southpaw, he fits into that Pant role to perfection. Ishan Kishan can be someone who goes after the spinners to ease the pressure on his batting partner.

But every coin has two sides to it. His keeping skills is still under scrutiny. Those who have watched Ishan Kishan in the domestic circuit and for India, know that in spinning conditions, he isn't the most reliable keeper, and that can harm India's chances in the game.

However, what he provides with the bat, is just what's missing in the Indian batting lineup. India need an X factor, and Ishan Kishan can be the answer to it.
