One of the most highly-anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) encounters between Royals Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians, ended in a one-sided affair on Sunday when they faced each other at Chinnaswamy.

The matches witnessed excellent performances from Mumbai's Tilak Varma and Bangalore's star-batters Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli, which resulted in the home side winning the match by eight wickets quite comfortably.

However, what is now setting social media ablaze is a video, where allegedly an RCB player is heard on the stump pic asking the bowler to hit Rohit Sharma on the helmet.

This incident happened after Sharma took a single toward the fine-leg region off Mohammed Siraj's bowling.

It should be asserted that it is still unsure about who the fielder asked the bowler to target - Sharma or Ishan Kishan. Mumbai's captain managed just one run from 10 balls, falling to a pull-shot off Akash Deep in the sixth over.

Several people have speculated that it was Kohli, who said that, while others have straightforwardly refuted such claims.

In the match, Verma's unbeaten 84 helped Mumbai put on 171 runs on the board, after being put into bat by du Plessis.

In reply, the fifties from current and former skippers, du Plessis and Kohli, who led from the front snitching a 148-run opening stand, enabling their franchise to victory.

RCB will fly to Calcutta to take on Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday, while Mumbai play their maiden home game against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday.
