ECB lets out FTP for 2023-27, England to tour India, Pakistan, Australia

The 12 Full Members of the ICC will play more international games across all three formats in the next Future Tours Program (FTP) cycle in 2023 to 2027. In the upcoming cycle, the 12 Members will play a total of 777 international matches – 173 Tests, 281 ODIs and 323 T20Is, compared to the 694 in the current cycle.

India, Australia and England will be a part of the greatest number of Test matches during the cycle, as they will play 20, 21 and 22 five-day games respectively.

England will play arch-rivals Australia and India in two five-Test series.

Their first series in the upcoming FTP will be a home Test against Ireland in June, which will be followed by a Test series against Australia from June to August 2023, an away series against India in January-February 2024 and at home in June-July 2025.

In November 2025, England will tour Australia for the Ashes, before which they will tour Pakistan for three Tests in October-November 2024, and to New Zealand for three Tests. All these series will be part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC).

Clare Connor, ECB Interim CEO, said in a statement:

“These Future Tour Programmes set out the international cricket we’ll be playing over the coming years. There is so much for supporters to look forward to across Test and white ball cricket, home and away.”

In all, England will play 144 international matches in the upcoming cycle, which excludes games in ICC events.
