Legendary Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath has heaped praise on India’s premier all-rounder Hardik Pandya for his immense self-belief and all-round prowess.

McGrath, who is currently guiding the budding fast bowlers in the MRF pace foundation, stressed that Hardik’s good batting performance leads to his phenomenal returns with the ball and vice-versa.
Further, the three-time World Cup winner hailed Hardik for his incredible all-round abilities, terming him a luxury in white-ball cricket.
"I think that Hardik is a confident player. When he’s bowling well, it probably has a positive impact on his batting. When he’s batting well, it has a positive influence on his bowling, so yes, he’s two players in one. He is a luxury you want. He’s a good bowler, quite intelligent bowler, and he’s a powerful hitter"

McGrath also reckoned India to be on the right track for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The New South Wales-born seamer thinks that the senior players’ performance on the Caribbean tour is an encouraging sign for India, and with the young players like Shubman Gill stepping up, the Men in Blue can fancy their chances of emerging victorious in the marquee event.
