India are coming into the series with a clean sweep in the 3-match ODI series. India displayed dominance in all three departments, especially in top-order batting and have been deploying consistent performances.

Whereas West Indies have shown immense heart in the batting lineup. Almost every match was brought down to the wire by their batting department. Although the series ended in a humiliation, the Windies have won their last T20 series against Bangladesh.

Shreyas Iyer first broke into the domestic cricketing scene in the 2013-14 Ranji tournament, scoring a phenomenal 809 runs in his debut season. The following year he set the bar even higher, scoring 1321 runs, including a ton in the final. With it, he became the only player after VVS Laxman to score 1300 runs in a season. 

A prolific hitter of the ball, Iyer gained the attention of Delhi Capitals in 2015; bought by the franchise at a whopping 2.6 cr. INR, making him the highest paid uncapped player. Iyer's rise has been consistent and in the spotlight ever since his Test debut in 2021 where he cemented his place by scoring a ton and a half century.  

The Mumbai born has been phenomenal in the recently concluded ODI series, amassing a total of 161 in 3 matches.
