Naseem Shah for Pakistan (Source:@DSBcricket/X.com)
Pakistan and New Zealand are up against each other in the 2nd ODI of the three-match series at the Seddon Park, New Zealand. Pakistan have won the toss and have decided to bowl first in conditions that are helpful for the pacers. Also, the visiting side have made four changes to their playing XI, and one of them is that Naseem Shah is not playing this game.
Naseem Shah Continues To Battle Injuries
The right-arm pacer, Naseem Shah bowled quite well with the new ball in the first game, and could have been handy in overcast conditions in Hamilton. However, Pakistan have not included him because of a niggle, as mentioned by their skipper, Mohammad Rizwan at the toss.
There is no clarity when he got the niggle or the intensity of the injury, but it is a big blow for Pakistan who have to win the second ODI to stay alive in the series. Along with Naseem Shah, Usman Khan is also out due to injury while the likes of Mohammad Irfan Khan and Mohammad Ali have also been excluded.
The four new entrants into the playing XI for Pakistan are Imam-ul-Haq, Faheem Ashraf, Sufiyan Muqeem and Mohammad Wasim Jnr. New Zealand, on the other hand are without Will Young and Mark Chapman, and it would be interesting to see how they go about their business after comprehensive win in the opening game.
