'We Didn't Deserve to Win...,' Virat Kohli Slams RCB's Performance

Virat Kohli is known to speak his heart out and that is what he exactly did after losing comprehensively to KKR for the second time this season. Virat Kohli himself scored fifty but others could not contribute much with the bat and the fielding also was quite sloppy from RCB's part.

Virat Kohli talking after the match emphasised on these points and used some harsh words to describe his team's performance. He felt that RCB handed over the game to KKR and added that they didn't deserve to win. He mentioned that they dropped way too many catches and could not capitalize on crunch moments.

"To be honest, we handed over the game to them. We didn't deserve to win. We weren't professional tonight. We bowled decently but dropped too many chances. This is not ideal because we pride ourselves on the way we play. Today it was not good, to be honest. We didn't capitalize on the crunch moments,"

Virat Kohli also said that dropped catches cost them 25-30 runs and there were many soft dismissals with the bat. He added that they just look at the total in front of them and bat accordingly. He felt that one more partnership would have taken them on the winning side. Informs that they have won one and lost one on the road and winning away from the home always helps.

"We dropped chances and that cost us 25-30 runs. While batting, there were too many soft dismissals. The balls were poor but we hit the fielders. We certainly don't see what was featured in the previous games. We look at the total and try to get across the line. We had one partnership and another would have taken us on the winning side. We have won one and lost one on the road. But if you win, it gives you a good chance to move forward."

RCB will now play their next game on 1st of May against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium.
