On a rare occasion in the middle of a cricket game, Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera celebrated like they were school kids on Monday during Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2024 clash against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.

The incident happened when Yuzvendra Chahal trapped Tilak Varma leg before immediately after the batter notched up his half-century. Varma went for a reverse-sweep, only to see the ball hit his pad on a full toss.

Immediately after the LBW appeal, the umpire raised his finger before Wadhera and Tilak discussed for a little before challenging the decision. The replay showed the ball would have missed the stumps had it not hit Tilak’s pad, and hence, Tilak survived as the decision was overturned.

Soon after watching it on the big screen, Chahal, who became the first bowler to get 200 IPL wickets, was devastated. On the other hand, Tilak and Wadhera were hugging with big smiles on their faces, suggesting that how good their bonding has been off the field.
