Smriti Mandhana's Failure With The Bat
In reply, India started positively as Smriti Mandhana smashed a four on her first ball of the innings. Despite losing Shafali Verma early on, Smriti continued with her aggressive approach. However, her stay at the crease was also short-lived and returned to the pavilion on the 4th ball of the 5th over when she handed an easy catch to Green at long-off while searching for a six. Mandhana returned to the dugout with a score of 12 (13) that featured two fours.

In 142 matches, Mandhana has 3505 runs, which includes 26 fifties and an average of 29. It is worth noting that Mandhana is the second-leading run-getter in T20Is.
