India Women's wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh showcased her awareness behind the stumps, as he DRS masterstroke sent Phoebe Litchfield packing in the third One-Day International against Australia Women in Perth. After India Women's captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and opted to bowl, the hosts had a magnificent start to their innings, with Georgia Voll and Litchfield adding 58 runs for the first wicket.

However, India Women bounced back remarkably, as Arundhati Reddy dismissed the Aussie openers in quick succession. The right-arm pacer castled the in-form Voll before Richa's agility and awareness behind the stumps earned her the prized wicket of Litchfield.

Richa Ghosh's DRS Masterstroke Gets Litchfield In IND-W vs AUS-W

The incident occurred during the eleventh over of Australia Women's innings when Litchfield was trying to steady the ship alongside Ellyse Perry following Voll's dismissal. However, Reddy emerged as her nemesis, getting her caught behind the stumps by Indian keeper Richa Ghosh.

From around the wicket, Arundhati Reddy bowled a good-length delivery outside the off stump, challenging Litchfield to play a cut shot. The southpaw fell in her trap, edging the ball to Ghosh while attempting to collect a boundary through the square. Although she nicked it, the on-field umpire declared her not out, forcing Richa and India to opt for the DRS.

The Indian wicketkeeper was sure of the outside edge and asked her captain Harmanpreet Kaur to go upstairs. Her decision weaved magic for the visitors, helping them dismiss Litchfield.

Beth Mooney Joins Ellyse Perry In The Middle
