SLK started off with a bang, but Narine pegged things back with two wickets and brought TKR right back in the match.

However, the hero with the ball soon turned into a villain on the field when he dropped SLK skipper Faf du Plessis off the bowling of Akeal Hosein in the 7th over of the match. It was a tossed up delivery from Hosein, Faf who was batting on 23 made room and tried to go inside-out. However, he ended up slicing it over deep backward point off the outside half of his blade.

The SLK skipper though could not carry on and get a big score and Waqar Salamkheil cleaned him up on the final delivery of the 8th over to deliver a crucial breakthrough for his side. The season has not started well for Faf du Plessis so far, and though he looked good in this game, he would be hoping for a big score in next game, given the high standards he has set over the years.
