After having a dismal outing with the bat, Australian cricketer Marnus Labuschagne showcased his prowess as a fielder, plucking a fantastic catch and helping his side get the crucial scalp of Harry Brook on day four of the Edgbaston Test. As a result of Labuschagne's athleticism, Australia got a major breakthrough and bounced back in the game.

The incident occurred in the 34th over when Australia turned up to their ace spinner Nathan Lyon to break the consolidating fifth wicket stand between Brook and Ben Stokes. While skipper Stokes was batting cautiously, Brook, as usual, was going berserk, marching the hosts towards a huge lead.

However, Pat Cummins' tactic to persist with Lyon paid off, as the veteran off-spinner caught Brook off guard, bringing a sigh of relief to the visitors' camp. The wily tweaker bowled a well-disguised flighted delivery, to which Brook stepped out only to miscue it and find himself caught by Labuschagne beautifully at the short mid-wicket.

Brook's dismissal had an adverse effect on England's scoring rate, which fell drastically down afterwards. As of writing, the hosts are 155 for five, with Stokes and Bairstow batting on 13* and 1*, respectively.

Considering the situation they are in, England desperately need the experienced duo to stitch a solid partnership and bail them out of trouble.
