Mark Wood is one of the fastest bowlers in world cricket currently while Steve Smith is arguably the best Test batter. So, when these two go head-to-head in an intense Ashes Test, you just cannot ask for anything more.

In the ongoing 4th Ashes Test at Manchester, we saw an intense battle between the two and Wood has came out on top by trapping Smith in front with a pacy 148.7 kph delivery. Smith was batting on 41 off just 52 balls and looked in supreme touch and all set for a big hundred.

However, that's where the extreme pace of Wood came into picture and Smith was just beaten by the pace of his delivery. It was the 30th over of the game and Wood bowled it on a length angling into off and middle. Smith came across to his right and looked to work it towards the leg side but missed it completely and got hit on his front pad.

An appeal from Mark Wood and English played followed which was denied by the umpire. However, Stokes and Wood were confident and England took the DRS which overturned the umpire's decision after the Ball Tracking showed three reds.

The wicket came as a big blow to Australia and at the time of writing, they are 126-3 at the end of 32 overs.
