Devon Conway has grabbed a catch for the ages in the morning session of Day 2 of the opening Test between India and New Zealand to send back Sarfaraz Khan back for a duck. His wicket left India reeling at 10-3 as New Zealand pacers are beautifully exploiting overcast conditions in Bengaluru. However, all the credit for Sarfaraz's wicket will go to Devon Conway who picked it out of thin air to everyone's surprise and left India high and dry.
It was the fourth delivery of the 10th over and Sarfaraz Khan was promoted to number 4. Matt Henry bowled it touch shorter of fuller length and Sarfaraz Khan went for an extravagant drive. However, he got his timing horribly wrong and the ball went off the inside half of his blade and went aerially towards the right of the extra cover fielder. It looked far away from Conway, but he timed his jumped to perfection and grabbed a stunning catch.
India Rocked Early By New Zealand Pacers
Earlier, India won the toss and decided to bat first in overcast conditons. Tim Southee produced a beauty in the seventh over to send back Indian skipper for just two and then Virat kohli fell for a duck as he was promoted to number 3 in the absence of Shubman Gill. The rain halted the proceedings in the 13th over to give India some breathing space after being rocked early.
