After a win in the first match the home team is hunting another win to seal off the series. On the other hand, Pakistan will be giving their best to snatch a win in this game and take the series to the decider.
Saim Ayub Replaces Babar Azam At The Top
Pakistan won the toss for this game and decided to bat first. There was a shift in the batting order for Pakistan as they demoted Babar Azam and sent Saim Ayub to open with Mohammad Rizwan. It was expected that they will get a solid start with the two batters, however, that did not happpen as Rizwan departed early.
After the departure of Rizwan, Babar Azam joined Saim Ayub in the middle and the duo stabilised things for the team. The duo stitched together a partnership of 87 runs from 45 deliveries and got the team going towards a formidable total.
Babar Azam Throws Away A Good Start
Babar Azam was looking good in the middle and the fans were expecting him to return to form with an impactful knock in this game. However, George Linde got the better of Babar with a chance of pace in the 12th over and sent him back to the hut.
On the second delivery of the 12th over, Linde bowled a full delivery outside teh off stump. Babar Azam tried to go over the long-on fielder but failed to get proper connection. As a result he ended up playing straight into the hands to Donovan Ferreira in the deep.
