In the 2nd T20I at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Bangladesh's bowling attack, led by the impressive Tazim Hasan Sakib, had put India on the back foot early in their innings. Earlier in the match, Bangladesh have won the toss and opted to bowl first, and in no time Bangladesh bowlers put India in deep trouble as they lost both openers within the powerplay.

After Sanju Samson departed cheaply, the onus was on Abhishek Sharma to steady the Indian innings. He looked in fine touch early on, timing the ball well and finding gaps, but his stay at the crease was short-lived. He scored a quick 15 off 11 balls, could not convert his start and fell in the third over, leaving India reeling at 29/2.

Tanzim Hasan Sakib Outfoxes Abhishek Sharma By A Brilliant Delivery

It was a sight that every fast bowler relishes – the stumps shattered, with the off-stump cartwheeling out of the ground. Tanzim Hasan Sakib, with both pace and precision delivered  that left Sharma with little chance.

Bowling around the off-stump, Sakib pitched a good-length ball, luring Abhishek into a risky shot. He attempted to slog across the line but misjudged the line and length, that resulted in an inside edge that sent his off-stump flying.

His joy was palpable as he watched the stump take a walk, clearly pumped up by his achievement. It was a moment of brilliance for the Bangladeshi pacer, who had the last laugh in his battle with the talented left-hander.

For India, however, it was a moment of concern, as both openers had now fallen cheaply, failing to provide the foundation they had hoped for. Things have worsened for India as Suryakumar Yadav departed at a mere eight runs. At the time of writing India is 82/3 with Rinku Singh and Nitish Kumar Reddy at the crease.
