Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Faf du Plessis is exuded confidence ahead of his team's upcoming fixture against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The match is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 10, at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, which has served as a fortress for the Bangalore-based franchise over the years.

RCB, had a forgettable outing in their last match against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens, where they suffered a crushing 81-run defeat. The result significantly impacted their net run rate, which could prove to be crucial as the tournament progresses.

While speaking on RCB Game Day, the South African opener emphasized the importance of maintaining a consistent review process and learning from both victories and losses. He remained optimistic about his team's prospects and has stated that they are eager to bounce back from the defeat against KKR.

"The importance for me is making sure that we have the same review process on whether the first game, where we were perfect or the second game, where we were not perfect. The guys are very confident to try and put in a performance to put that last game down," said du Plessis.

The South African veteran further added that the team is looking to identify areas for improvement while acknowledging the aspects where they have performed well. He also stressed that while it is essential to analyze one's performances, one should not overdo it, especially after a heavy defeat.

"We want to look at areas where we can be a little bit better, I think it is always important whether you are winning or losing. Let us just look at areas where you feel like we can improve, but also identify the areas in which you are doing well. After some matches, like the heavy defeat last time, you can sometimes over analyze things," concluded the RCB skipper.

The three-time IPL finalists have been grappling with injury concerns early on in the tournament, with Rajat Patidar and Reece Topley ruled out due to heel and shoulder injuries, respectively.

However, RCB has already announced their replacements, Wayne Parnell and Vysakh Vijay Kumar, who will be looking to make a significant impact in the upcoming fixtures. Moreover, the team is expected to be bolstered by the arrival of Josh Hazlewood and Wanindu Hasaranga.
