Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will don their special green jerseys for their upcoming match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 13, 2025, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Why RCB Wear the Green Jersey?

The 'Go Green' initiative was launched by RCB in 2011 to create awareness about planting trees and reducing global warming effects. As part of this environmental campaign, RCB wears jerseys made from 100% recycled materials for one match each season. The tradition also includes the RCB captain presenting a plant to the opposition captain during the toss as a symbolic gesture.

First Away Green Jersey Match

While reviewing the match history, it's clear that most of RCB's green jersey matches were played at their home venue, M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. However, this tradition has occasionally moved to other venues. The upcoming match in Jaipur will be the third time RCB sport their green jersey away from home, following matches in Mumbai (2022), and Kolkata (2024).

The Last Green Jersey Match

RCB last wore their green jersey on April 21, 2024, against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. Despite a late surge by their middle order, RCB fell agonizingly short of victory when they needed 3 runs off the final ball.

RCB's Green Jersey Record

RCB's overall record in the green jersey stands at 4 wins and 9 losses (with 1 no-result):
