England stand-in T20 skipper Moeen Ali provided a positive update on regular captain Jos Buttler's injury, stating that the swashbuckling opener could be available for the series-decider in Lahore on Sunday.

Buttler suffered a calf injury back in August and hasn't featured in a competitive game.

He travelled with the English squad for the ongoing 7-match T20I series in Pakistan, with the hope of taking a part in it during the later stages.

During an interview with the host broadcaster amid the proceedings of the 5th T20I, Buttler said that he was 'feeling better' but with the T20 World Cup looming large, he won't rush his comeback.

Moeen echoed the same when asked if Buttler will feature in the series-decider after England's thumping win over Pakistan in the 6th T20I on Saturday.

Here's what Moeen Ali said:

"Buttler is feeling good, and we will decide whether we will play him on Sunday. We will decide whether we will take the risk of playing him for one game before going to Australia for the World Cup."

England may not even need Jos Buttler for the decider given how their openers, Phil Salt in particular blasted Pakistan's bowling attack on Saturday night.

Salt hammered a brutal 19-ball half-century, and, he along with Alex Hales ensured England wiped out 50 runs from their target of 170 after just 3 overs.

Salt continued his onslaught till the very end, finishing with an unbeaten 41-ball 88 as the visitors gunned down the target in 14.3 overs.
