Quinton de Kock got bowled on 1 last evening [PC: Twitter]
Quinton de Kock's horrible form continued for South Africa as they locked horns against India at the Greenfield International Stadium last evening, getting his stumps rattled by Arshdeep Singh.
De Kock chopped the ball onto his stumps, which has become a common sight lately. Since the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, the left-handed opener has managed just 137 runs in 13 T20Is for South Africa.
Former South African batter Herschelle Gibbs believes that de Kock is getting too comfortable and needs a shake-up. Taking to social media, Gibbs further suggested that the team management could switch the out-of-form batter with Reeza Hendricks.
Gibbs on who should replace QDK
"The difference in yesterdays t20 was Indian bowlers swung it ours didn’t and their batters played conditions smarter ... reeza in for quinny next game. He (De Kock) hasn’t made runs."
"He is (in a) comfort zone. Dropping him will be a good shake up. Nobody is irreplaceable. Reeza for last 2 t20 games and let quinny find some form in the odi series."
