The Netherlands and the United States will clash in match number 10 of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023 in Harare. The much-awaited match-up marks the sixth Group A fixture, and the third for the United States this tournament. Meanwhile, it will be Netherlands’ second outing in the competition after facing hosts Zimbabwe in their campaign opener.

Team Preview: Netherlands

Netherlands, currently placed at number 17 on the ICC ODI rankings, lost out to a strong Zimbabwean unit in their opening game of the qualifiers. Despite charting 315 upfront, the hosts batters overhauled the total with nearly 10 overs still intact in the game.

Netherlands also lost a ODI series in South Africa earlier this year. They are currently on a five-game losing streak and will be desperately aiming for a win to crawl their way back into the competition.

For starters, a spirited run-chase against West Indies in their opening game was not enough as they still fell 39 runs short of their target. The USA players were then shot out for 207 by Nepal, a total which was easily tracked down by the latter.

Back in April, they did perform exceedingly well at the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off 2023, winning four of their five matches in Namibia.
