Gujarat Titans skipper heaped huge praise on his centurion opener Shubman Gill, after the 22-year-old smashed an unbeaten 60-ball 129 to guide the defending champions to their 2nd successive final against CSK.

Gill, on Friday, once again showcased why he is the most sought-after thing at the moment, as he took his T20 game to another level by smashing the MI bowling attack into total submission with his aesthetic-yet ruthless strokeplay.

Gill's thunderous ton helped him breach the 800-run mark for the season besides propelling the Titans to a monstrous total of 233/3.

Speaking at the post-match presentation, Hardik rated Gill's knock as one of the finest he has ever seen.

The all-rounder also lauded the clarity and confidence with which Gill has carried himself this season.

"I think a lot of hard work goes behind the guys doing well. They keep practicing, that reflects. I think the clarity and confidence he is carrying is amazing. Today's innings was one of the finest, he never looked rushed. It felt like someone was throwing balls and he was hitting. He will be a superstar in International and franchise cricket. I do have conversations with him, I try that people feed off my energy. Everyone takes responsibility for themselves. We have to play good cricket."

The target of 234 was never going to be breached unless someone from MI did a Gill on GT, but despite best efforts from Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma, it didn't happen for thr former champions as the Titans wrapped up a comfortable win thanks to a 5-for from Mohit Sharma.
