The fourth edition of Women's Premier League (WPL) is underway. Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru kickstarted the proceddings with the curtain raiser game. The caravan has now moved to the first double-header game of the season.
Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz will lock horns against each other in afternoon on Saturday, January 10 at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Both teams are looking for their maiden WPL title and have a point to prove in the ongoing edition.

Another interesting match up is between Ashleigh Gardner and Kranti Gaud. The right-arm seamer is the new pace sensation in India. The 22-year-old rose to fame with Women's World Cup, where she picked up nine wickets in eight innings.
It has been an interesting battle between Gardner and Gaud so far as the Australia all-rounder got better of India seamer during World Cup, but the case was opposite during WPL 2025.
Notably, Gardner scored a fifty against UP Warriorz in WPL 2025, where she whacked Gaud for runs, but the right-arm seamer took Aussie star's wicket in the reverse fixture. Therefore, it will be a fun battle to watch out.
Beth Mooney vs Deepti Sharma
Deepti Sharma is UP Warriorz' star all-rounder and proved her mettle during Women's World Cup where she won player of the tournament award for 22 wickets and 215 runs in seven innings.
So far Mooney has got better of Deepti Sharma and slammed an unbeaten 96 during WPL 2025 match. Therefore, the India all-rounder would look to outshine Mooney this time around.
