Australia are taking on India in the fourth Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The match is being placed at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia. It is a crucial game in the series as both teams are currently levelled at 1-1.

The match bears great significance not only for the series but for the chances of the two teams in the WTC final. Australia won the toss for the game and opted to bat first. Both India and Australia have made one change to their team for the game. 

Sam Konstas Joins Pat Cummins In An Elite List

For Australia Sam Konstas, the 19-year-old opener from New South Wales is making his debut. The right-handed batter has replaced Nathan McSweeney in the side. As Konstas received his Baggy Green, the youngster made a record. The batter become the fourth youngest player top debut for Australia in the purest format of the game. 

Washington Sundar Plays For India

While Sam Konstas has made his way into the Australian side, Washington Sundar has replaced Shubman Gill in the Indian playing XI. The fact that the Indian batter was not in the best of forms might have been the reason behind him being rested. Besides, Gill's form, India might have included Sundar into the playing XI to find a better balance in the combination.
