The third day of the league stage in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will see a total of two matches being played at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Let’s take a quick preview of the two enthralling encounters coming ahead.

Match 5: Comilla Victorians vs Sylhet Strikers

Comilla Victorians will take on the table toppers Sylhet Strikers in Match 5 of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League 2023.

Comilla Victorians did not have the best start to the 2023 season as the defending champions lost their first match on Friday against Rangpur Riders. Their bowlers had a below average game, which was followed by a poor batting show with the bat. Imrul Kayes and his men will be keen to not repeat the same mistakes and register their first win of the season in this match.

Meanwhile, Sylhet Strikers are unbeaten after two games and sitting at the top of the points table. They have been brilliant as a unit so far with everyone in the team stepping up at some point. Their local batters like Shanto, Towid Hridoy, Zakir Hasan and Rejaur Rahman Raja with the ball have been the major contributors in their first two wins.

Match 6: Chattogram Challengers vs Khulna Tigers

Chattogram Challengers will lock horns with Khulna Tigers in the second match of the day in Bangladesh Premier League 2023.

Both the teams suffered losses in their respective last matches and will be desperate to get their first win of the season.

Chattogram Challengers had a horrible start to their campaign as they registered their lowest ever total in BPL history in the first game of the season against Sylhet Strikers. The entire batting group never turned on throughout the innings and ended up with only 89 in 20 overs on the board. The 22-year-old left arm seamer Mrittunjoy Chowdhury was the only positive, who gave just 11 runs in his spell and took a wicket as well.

On the other hand, Khulna Tigers also had a similar day with the bat but looks a lot more stronger on paper ahead of the Chattogram challenge. Skipper Yasir Ali will be expecting a better effort from the batters this time as the bowling unit comprising Saifuddin, Wahab Riaz and Paul van Meekeren did their best to keep the Tigers in the game last time.
