Sydney Sixers will go head-to-head against Sydney Thunder in the 50th Big Bash League (BBL) 2022-23 match on Saturday at Sydney Cricket Ground.

The Sixers have already qualified for the playoffs, winning eight of their 12 league stage fixtures while losing just three. Currently, they stand second in the points ranking with 17 points in their account.

As for Sydney Thunder, it will be a must-win encounter for them if they eye a top-four finish in the BBL table. With six wins from 12 matches, they occupy the fourth position in the league standings.

The reverse fixture between the two saw the Sydney Sixers pummeling Thunder by seven wickets. The Men in Green will be looking to avenge their previous loss and secure a place in the top-four at the end of the league stage.
