For the 2nd and final Test of the series, the caravan has now moved to the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati where India and South Africa are all set to lock horns in the all-important game. Shubman Gill is ruled out of the Test series and Rishabh Pant has walked out alongside Temba Bavuma for the toss.

Talking about the coin flip, Rishabh Pant has started off on a negative note in his captaincy career and lost the toss. The Temba Bavuma-led side have opted to bat first and made a solitary change for the ongoing match.

For South Africa, Senuran Muthusamy comes in for Corbin Bosch, while India have made two changes - Sai Sudharsan comes in for Axar Patel, while Nitish Kumar Reddy comes in for Shubman Gill.

India vs South Africa: Captains Thoughts

Rishabh Pant (India Captain): "Definitely it's a proud moment for me. As a cricketer, you always dream to lead your country. I am very grateful to BCCI for giving me this opportunity.  (Wearing the captain's blazer) Obviously, I didn't think about it before but at the same time, you want to grab the opportunity with both hands. I want to do the best for the team."

Temba Bavuma: "We will have a bat. Like you said, Ravi, we have to start fresh. Today, it is another day. Boys are raring to go and put on a show for the next 4-5 days. The wicket looks a lot better than it was in Kolkata. Our fundamentals remain the same. Bat first, get a big score first up and then play the game from there. Lot more consistent grass coverage on this pitch."
