Veteran Australian batter Steven Smith has certainly found his form back after a lean patch. After the T20 World Cup 2022 - where he was mostly warming the bench, the 33-year-old is having a blast in the ongoing ODI series against England.

In the first two matches thus far, the right-handed batter has notched an unbeaten 80 and a marvellous 94 that helped Australia beat the World Champions and seal the series already with a game to go.

During his splendid 114-ball 94, Smith became the fastest batter from Australia to score 14000 or more, taking 328 innings to achieve this record.

Smith, who is unarguably the best Test batter of his generation, has scored 4896 runs in his ODI career, 1008 T20I runs in his T20I career - while he has notched 8161 runs at a whooping average of 60.00.

In the overall run-tally for Australia, the ace batter is also on the sixth spot with Ricky Ponting leading the race with 27,368 runs. Steve Waugh, Allan Border, Michael Clarke and David Warner are the other four batters on the elite list.

Coming to the match, apart from Smith, it were enthralling efforts from Marnus Labuschagne, Mitchell Marsh, Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa that helped Australia win the game by 72 runs.
