Afghanistan’s senior-most cricketer, Mohammad Nabi, hit 100 wickets in T20I cricket, becoming only the second player from his country after Rashid Khan to hit the milestone. He achieved his feat against Pakistan in the tri-series.
Nabi, 40, featured in the tri-series contest against Pakistan held on September 2 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. He dismissed Fakhar Zaman on 25 off 18 balls to claim his first wicket of the match.
Mohammad Nabi Becomes Second Afghan To Reach 100 Wickets
With that dismissal of Zaman, Mohammad Nabi claimed the 100th wicket of his T20I career. He now stands proudly as the second-highest wicket-taker for Afghanistan in T20Is, behind only Rashid Khan, who sits with 165 wickets.
Rashid is not only the highest wicket-taker for Afghanistan but also the bowler with the most wickets in the history of the T20I format.

Needless to say, it's a remarkable turnaround considering where he started. Nabi made his international debut in 2010 and evolved into a dependable spinner and handy batter. Now, at 40, his experience shines through every performance.
Nabi was the first cricketer who put Afghanistan at centre stage and even used his personal funds on some occasions to support the team at international events. Today, he is still serving his nation and playing an active role in its gobal rise.

In the chase, Pakistan crumbled, losing 4 wickets for 67 runs. Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Haris are fighting it out in the middle, but the required run rate has already surpassed 10 runs per over.
