What is the IPL Match Today | Expected Changes, Weather Report, Head-to-Head

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 39th match of the TATA IPL edition at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on April 29. The game is expected to kick off at 3:30 PM local time.

KKR were finally able to break their loosing streak in their last fixture against RCB. However, they are in desperate need for crucial points as they find themselves langusihing at number 7 position in the points table with a dismal NRR of -0.027. On the other hand, GT are well positioned in the points table currently ranking number 3 with a healthy looking NRR of 0.58.

The two sides have clashed once in this year's tournament which saw KKR snatch an outrageous victory in a last-over thriller, thanks to the fireworks of Rinku Singh. GT will be eyeing to avenge their prior loss and look to exert their dominance over KKR. 


Expected Changes

Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR earned a hard fought win in their previous fixture against RCB. They are likely to persist with the opening combination of Jason Roy and Narayan Jagadeesan who scored 56 (29) and 27 (29) respectively. Liton Das will no longer be a part of the KKR line-up as he has flown back to Bangladesh due to reasons related to family emergencies. 

Vaibhav Arora might be benched. He had a horrid show with the ball in the last game and leaked a lot of runs at 11 RPO while going wicketless.  They are likely to retain the spin combination of Suyansh Sharma and Varun Chakravarthy who have been the leading wicket takers for KKR this season. 


Gujarat Titans

GT are expected to maintain their winning combination as they have convincingly won 2 consective games in a row leading up to this fixture. 

Their pace battery and their spin arsenel have fared well so far in the tournament. Noor Ahmed, Rashid Khan and Mohit Sharma are in the form of their life who have always provided timely breakthroughs for their side to tip the scales in their favour. 

However, we may see GT rest some of their main bowlers and let Josh Little or Alzarri Joseph have a go in their main playing eleven.
