IPL 2023, Day 2 | Dream11 Prediction: Team for IPL Season Long 2023 Fantasy Contest

The 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) is already on the way and we have had a thrilling start to the tournament with Gujarat Titans (GT) clinching a nail biter against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). So first things first let us look at how my team did on the first day of the Tournament.

This was my team for the IPL 2023 opener:

Points Scored: 624

So the captain and vice-captain choices in Shubman Gill and Ruturaj Gaikwad clicked for me and I got the best returns possible with six of my players taking the field on the day. 

I made a small change seeing the playing XI of the two teams and that was including Rajvardhan Hangargekar in place of Simarjeet Singh. These are the type of modifications you have to make after the toss of each match. 



Strategy on Day 2

Now moving onto Day 2, there are two matches in IPL. The first match will be played between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), while in the second match of the day Lukcnow Super Giants (LSG) will be taking the field against Delhi Capitals (DC). 

There is  a scope for you change the team for the two matches indivudually. But I might not be getting too much time to do the same and hence have opted for a full day approach. 

Changes for Day 2

  1. Wriddhiman Saha (GT, 8 Cr) , OUT - Jitesh Sharma (PBKS, 6.5 Cr), IN
  2. Ruturaj Gaikwad (CSK, 9.5 Cr) OUT - Shikhar Dhawan (PBKS, 9.5 Cr), IN
  3. Shubman Gil (GT, 9.5 Cr) OUT - Sunil Narine (KKR, 9 Cr), IN
  4. Ben Stokes (CSK, 10 Cr) OUT - Andre Russell (KKR, 10.5 Cr), IN
  5. Rajvardhan Hangargekar (CSK, 5.5 Cr) OUT - Varun Chakravarty (KKR, 8 Cr), IN

So in total I have made five transfers for the day and one of them being the free uncapped transfer. I feel it will be a day of all-rounders and will just be switching the captain and vice-captain of the team in between the two matches for the day. As long as the other players are a part of the playing XI, will stick to the following sqaud.

The change that I will be making before the second match of the day will be selecting KL Rahul as the captain and Mitchell Marsh as the vice-captain. Also, it might opt to makes the free uncapped transfer.
