Just days after a dominant ODI series against South Africa, Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli was seen seeking spiritual peace in Vrindavan along with his wife, actor Anushka Sharma. The couple visited their spiritual guide, Shri Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj, a moment that has since gone viral on social media.

In the video, Kohli and Anushka are seen dressed in simple winter attire, reflecting their preference for humility and quiet devotion away from the spotlight.

At a time when the cricketing world is celebrating his on-field brilliance, Virat Kohli once again demonstrated why he is admired not just as a player, but as a person grounded in values. This visit marked Kohli’s third meeting with Shri Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj in 2025.

His previous visit took place in May, shortly after he announced his retirement from Test cricket, a phase when questions surrounded his future and form. Since then, the year has unfolded dramatically for Kohli.

He went on to win the IPL, reignited his ODI form with four consecutive outstanding innings in Australia and India, and recently smashed two centuries against South Africa to clinch the Player of the Series award.

From moments of uncertainty to renewed dominance, 2025 has been a year of both giving and taking for the Indian cricket veteran.

Premanand Ji Maharaj's advice to Kohli

Virat and Anushka, known for their deep spiritual inclinations, have been regular attendees at Guruji’s satsangs and even visited with their children, Vamika and Akaay, seeking peace away from public attention.

During the interaction, Guruji advised Kohli with “treat your work as a service to God, keep calm, stay grounded and always take the name of God,” - words that Kohli listened to with visible gratitude and respect.

Earlier speculation suggested Kohli had returned to India to attend Lionel Messi’s India tour, but it has now emerged that this trip was meant to seek blessings, perhaps for the final time in 2025, from the guru who has been a steady spiritual anchor through his highs and lows throughout.
