Rashid Khan confirms second marriage; addresses mystery girl as 'wife' on social media

Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan has given his fans much to talk about after speculations were swirling around his personal life for the past few weeks. After being spotted with a mystery woman during a charity launch in the Netherlands, fans were left speculating and wondering about his latest companion.

On Tuesday, November 11, Rashid Khan himself took to his social media account to confirm that he married her back in August this year, thus confirming his second marriage within the space of 10 months.

Rashid Khan confirms mystery woman is his wife

A photo of Rashid Khan sitting beside a mystery woman went viral a few weeks ago, when the cricketer attended a Rashid Khan Charity Foundation in the Netherlands. Now, the Afghanistan superstar has confirmed that the woman is indeed his wife, whom he married back in August this year, i.e., just a few months ago.

Taking to his Instagram account, Rashid Khan wrote:

“The truth is simple. She is my wife, we are together, and we have nothing to hide.”

Rashid Khan also married his maternal cousin back in October last year. The cricketer, however, maintained his wife's privacy in a bid to respect the traditions of his family. On the same day, his brothers Amir Khalil, Zakiullah and Raza Khan also tied the knot, making it a remarkable day of celebrations for the entire Khan family.

The eventful ceremony took place in Kabul, and was attended by several members of the Afghanistan cricket team like Mohammad Nabi, Rahmat Shah and young Mujeeb Ur Rahman.

The celebrations from October 2024, as well as his recent confirmation of a second marriage, offer glimpses into Rashid Khan's personal life beyond the cricket field. Fans and well-wishers alike can now look forward to seeing the star continue his journey both on and off the pitch.
