Experienced India wristspinner Yuzvendra Chahal was seen paying a heartening tribute to his wife Dhanashree Varma as the married couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary on Friday (December 22).

In a wonderful clip issued by Chahal's Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR), the veteran bowler expressed gratitude towards his better half for her contribution in his life and journey on and off the field.

The clip also featured the couple's special moments of warmth and fun shared with fans and followers via their social media handles. Chahal and Dhanashree are quite popular on Twitter and Instagram for their reels and pictures with the cricketer renowned for his humourous avatar while she is famed for her dancing skills.

"Definitely whenever she is around, I feel more confident," Chahal said of Dhanashree, who is seen cheering her husband from the stands at international and IPL games.

Chahal met Dhanashree via social media before the couple tied the knot in December 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"She always gives me strength, positive vibes and confidence. I really love it when she is in the stands and is always smiling and cheering," he added.

The stalwart leg-spinner from Haryana is currently undergoing a difficult period of his playing career for India as he was dropped from the T20I outfit in the build-up to the 2024 T20 World Cup next June and returned home from the ODI series in South Africa without a game.

The 33-year-old last played for India in August when his failures during the T20I series against the West Indies amidst a sustained poor patch led to his departure from the white-ball scene.

Chahal, however, forced his way back into the reckoning for the ODI squad on tour to South Africa with a brief but strong stint for Haryana in the Vijay Hazare Trophy List A competition.
