Team India continued their dominance in white ball cricket after registering a 68-run victory in the first encounter of a five-match T20I series at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on Friday.

One of the architects of the win was the young left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh. The 23-year-old seamer snared two wickets while giving away only 24 runs in his allotted four overs. His efforts helped the men in blue to restrict the West Indies to 122 for eight after setting them a target of 191.

Arshdeep gave special mention to Paras Mhambrey

"It was a good experience. I am happy with my performance. The team won, so the happiness doubled. Due to a break, I am playing after a long time. So, I want to work with Paras (Mhambrey) sir and improve on my areas,
" Arshdeep Singh said at the press conference.

Arshdeep, who played his second international game, stated that keeping things simple and executing his variations well has worked for him.

"I guess, keeping things simple and using the wicket a lot and using the slower one and at the last just trying to nail my yorkers, I think that worked for me."
