WI vs BAN | West Indies cruise to a 10 wicket victory over the visitors, win the series 2-0

The Daren Sammy stadium witnessed a clinical victory by West Indies over the Bangla Tigers. The Windies bowled Bangladesh out for a paltry 186 in their second innings. The play resumed on the second last day of the Test match after a long delay due to a wet outfield.

West Indies beat Bangladesh by ten wickets in the second Test and took a one-sided series 2-0 at Darren Sammy Stadium on Monday. Both Tests were won well inside four days.

Experienced pacer Kemar Roach became just the sixth West Indian bowler to take 250 wickets in the longest format, surpassing the excellent Michael Holding. Roach ran through the visitor's top order to leave them reeling early in the innings.

Leading Windie's assault with the ball, Roach took three wickets as the visitors crumbled to 132, still needing another 42 runs to avoid an innings defeat. Kyle Myers starred with the bat in hand for the West Indies, scoring a magnificent century (146) to power the hosts to a massive total of 408.

Play began after a long delay on day four due to a wet outfield. After it resumed, Bangladesh's second innings extended nine more overs and 54 more runs before it was all over on 186. Nurul Hasan was stranded on 60, not out from 50 balls. Needing 13 runs to win, West Indies openers John Campbell and captain Kraigg Brathwaite took 17 balls.

It didn't take the hosts too much time to find a breakthrough as Mehidy Hasan Miraz got off with a mark with a boundary, then was out next ball trying to block an Alzarri Joseph bouncer and edging behind.

This was followed by Jayden Seales dismissing Ebadot Hossain and Shoriful Islam for ducks in the same over itself. Then, Khaled Ahmed was run out for a duck from the non-striker's end when Nurul wasn't looking for a run.

Nurul resumed from 16 overnight and blasted two sixes and six boundaries for his third Test fifty — all against West Indies — and four runs short of his career best.

The West Indian fast bowling battery had a good day out as Seales, Joseph and Kemar Roach each took three wickets.
