India Test skipper Virat Kohli has cleared the air and said that there is no rift between him and the new white-ball captain Rohit Sharma.
“There is no problem between Rohit Sharma and me. “I’m tired of saying these things for over 2.5 years,” Kohli said in a press conference.
Kohli further added that the new limited-overs captain and the new head coach Rahul Dravid will get all the support from him.
"Rohit is a very able captain and we have seen it in the IPL as well as for India. Dravid is also very valuable. Both of them will have my absolute support. There is no problem between me and Rohit. I have been clarifying since the last two and a half years or so. I'm really tired,” he added.
The Indian team will travel to South Africa for three Tests and as many ODIs. Rohit Sharma who was also named the vice captain of the Test side has been ruled out from the Test series with a hamstring injury.
The three-match Test series will begin on December 26 in Centurion.
