T20 World Cup | Final | David Warner hits fifty in crucial run chase

Australia opener David Warner has once again become the hero in the big game by hitting a fifty in the final of the T20 World Cup 2021 against New Zealand. Chasing a target of 173, which hasn’t been chased before in a T20 World Cup final, the Australian team started in a counter tracking mode which was led by Warner.

Even as Aussie skipper Aaron Finch got out to Trent Boult, the left-hander Warner did not even buzz from his strategy of attack and was well supported by Mitchell Marsh who came in after the fall of the first wicket.

Warner, who got out at 53 off 38 balls, bowled by Trent Boult, hit four fours and three sixes and has partnered Marsh to a 91 run partnership off just 57 balls which is taking the game away from the Kiwis. At the time of writing this, Australia needed only 66 runs to win from 46 balls, which is equal to child’s play in T20 of the chasing team has eight wickets in hand.

Even in the semi-final, Warner had hit crucial 49 runs in a game that went right down to the wire and was won by Australia.
