T20 Blast 2022 | SUS vs KET | Preview, Prediction, Probable XI, CREX XI

The 20th match of the English T20 Blast 2022 will be played between Sussex Sharks and Kent Spitfires from the South Group fixtures. The match is going to be played at the 1st Central County Ground in Hove, home of Sussex Sharks.

Sussex Sharks will be back at their home ground in Hove, playing their third match of the season. The 2021 semi-finalist had a very poor start to their 2022 campaign, having lost both the games they played. They lost their previous match by a massive margin of 41 runs against Gloucestershire in Bristol, away from home.

Reflecting on the first two defeats, Sharks' coach James Kirtley showed his disappointment at his team being a bit rusty against Glamorgan and ended up giving away too many runs at the end against Gloucestershire.

Mohammad Rizwan's runs with the bat have been a massive positive for the County. In addition, veteran paceman Steven Finn's 2 for 15 was brilliant as well.

Carrying all these positives, the unchanged Sussex squad will be looking to grab the first win of the campaign on Sunday (May 29th) against the defending champions.

On the other side, Kent Spitfires will be travelling towards the South East coast, away from home, after losing their first two games of the campaign. Kent, who defeated Sussex last year in the semi-final, also won their previous game at the Sharks' home in a last-over thriller back in 2020.

With zero points after the first two fixtures of their campaign, the Sam Billings-led side will be looking to repeat what they did in their last visit in 2020, to grab their first win of the season.

Match Details:

Match: Sussex vs Kent, Match 20

Venue: 1st Central County Ground, Hove

Date & Time: May 29th at 7:00 PM IST

Live Streaming: FanCode and ECB website.

Pitch Report: The wicket at this venue has been a balanced one, looking at the last five T20s at this venue. The pitch helps a bit early in the game for the team bowling first, and scoring in the first innings is not that easy in comparison to the second innings. The team winning the toss will be looking to bowl first as the team batting second won three times in the last five matches played at this venue.

Head-To-Head:

Kent has the upper hand over Sussex in the head to head record with 15 wins in front of Sussex's 12 wins. In the last five outings, both teams won two each with one game left abandoned.
