T20 Blast 2022 | NOT vs LEI | Preview, Prediction, Probable XI, CREX XI

Leicestershire will aim to notch up their third consecutive win in the English T20 Blast as they square off against Nottinghamshire in the upcoming North Group fixture. The match is scheduled to be played at the Trent Bridge, Nottingham, on Tuesday (June 21).

Nottinghamshire, with three wins, five losses and one tie, find themselves languishing at the seventh spot of the North Group points table. Notts will be heading into this game on the back of a six-wicket defeat at the hands of Lancashire.

The Dan Christian-led side were impressive with the bat against the Red Rose club, having posted 179/7 on the board. However, their bowlers failed to keep the opposition batters on the backfoot as Lancashire chased down the target in 18.2 overs with six wickets in hand.

On the other hand, Leicestershire made a late recovery as they won their last two games to climb up the table. The Colin Ackermann-led side, with four wins and six losses from their ten T20 Blast appearances, placed sixth in the North Group standings.

Leicestershire defeated Durham in their most recent encounter by 51 runs. Batting first, they posted 157/9 on the board and bundled out Durham for the score of 106. Rehan Ahmed shined with the ball, bagging four wickets, followed by Callum Parkinson, who scalped three wickets.

Notably, this will be their second face-off in the ongoing edition of the T20 Blast. The last time these two sides met, Nottinghamshire got the better of Leicestershire, defeating them by five wickets.
