Meanwhile, the Lancashire batters fell 29 runs short of their target despite their 85-run opening stand at the top of the order. Worcestershire’s Brett D’Oliveira claimed four wickets and conceded just 20 runs in his four-over spell.

Warwickshire batters hammered a merciless 238-5 off their 20 overs while batting first. Opener Paul Stirling flayed the Yorkshire bowlers with a 41-ball 81 at the top of the order. Dan Mousley clubbed 63 runs featuring seven boundaries and three sixes from just 25 balls in the final stages of the innings.


Yorkshire’s response, while steady, fell 31 runs short of the Carlos Brathwaite-led side. They piled up 207 before getting all out inside 20 overs. Opener Adam Lyth top scored with 69 while victorious captain Brathwaite stemmed their run-flow with 3-32 off his four overs.

Over 400 runs were scored on a high-scoring evening at Leicester. Batting first, hosts Leicestershire pounded the visitors by slamming 214 runs on the board upfront. Captain Colin Ackermann turbo-charged their innings in the death overs with his 44-ball 85.


Amidst James Neesham’s destructive 23-ball 51, the home side held their nerves to ensure a thrilling 1-run win in the last over of the match.
