Star opener Smriti Mandhana has set the record for the fastest Indian batter to breach 3000 ODI run-mark in Women's cricket. The stylish southpaw achieved this phenomenal feat in her 76th outing during the ongoing second ODI against England.

Legendary former Indian captain Mithali Raj held the record before Mandhana, as she had reached the 3000 run club in 88 innings. Overall, Mandhana becomes the third joint-fastest alongside Australia's Karen Rolton, after Australian legends Belinda Clark (62 innings) and Meg Lanning (64 innings), to attain this remarkable feat.

Stafanie Taylor (West Indies)- 81 innings

Suzie Bates (New Zealand) - 83 innings

After making her ODI debut in 2013, Mandhana has gradually established herself as India's mainstay with the bat in limited-overs cricket. The dashing opener currently averages more than 40 and strikes at an excess of 80 in the 50-over format. She was in scintillating touch in the recently concluded T20I series against England and smashed a glorious 99-ball 91 in the first ODI as well.

As of writing, India are 60 for one at the end of 10 overs, with Mandhana unbeaten on 23 off 26 balls.
