Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has overhauled it's coaching staff as part of the High-Performance Centre's reorganisation agenda.
The adjustments are intended to increase the emphasis on the Sri Lanka's national team, 'A' team, Emerging and Under-19 Teams. SLC's Executive Committee has approved the new coaching positions.
The major coaching appointment is Anton Roux. The former head coach of Netherlands men's team has been named the fielding coach for the national teams, with effect from March 7th, 2022.
Roux, a former South African first-class cricketer, will be in charge of fielding for all national teams and the High-Performance Center.
Anton who has played at every domestic level in South Africa was involved with the Netherlands in three ICC World T20 qualifiers and a couple of T20 World Cup tournaments. The 40-year-old will join newly appointed Chris Silverwood, Chaminda Vaas and Mahela Jayawardene in the coaching setup of Sri Lanka.
