India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has confirmed that he and Shreyas Iyer will no longer be a part of the Delhi Capitals franchise.
“Shreyas and I aren’t there,” Ashwin said on his YouTube channel while talking to Gaurav Sundararaman.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had recently released the retention policy ahead of the mega auctions of the IPL.
"The 8 existing team will first get the opportunity to retain a maximum of 4 Players and thereafter the 2 new teams will be able to retain a maximum of 3 players before the auction," the BCCI said in a mail to all eight franchises on Saturday (October 30), as per Cricbuzz.

Not more than 2 Overseas
Not more than 2 Indian Uncapped
For New Teams
Not more than 2 Indians (capped / Uncapped)
Not more than 1 Overseas
