Ahead of the second Test at Mirpur against India, Bangladesh received some encouraging news regarding skipper Shakib Al Hasan. Bangladesh bowling coach Allan Donald speaking on the eve of the second and final Test confirmed that Hasan is fit and will be available to bowl.
The star allrounder sustained a rib injury in the first ODI preceding the Test series, due to which Hasan missed out on bowling in the Chattogram Test. Despite the skipper's best efforts in the second innings with the bat, Bangladesh lost the match by 188 runs and trail the series 0-1.
According to DailyStar, Donald also revealed Bangladesh's bowling approach for the second Test, which could comprise two pacers and three spinners. .
"Shakib's ok. He will bowl. He was a little bruised and battered in the one-day game here but he has gone through that. First of all, he is available for selection and he is available to bowl. He's good to go."
Meanwhile, fast bowler Taskin Ahmed is also likely to replace the injured Ebadot Hossain in the Test starting Thursday in Dhaka.
